DraftKings NBA Post Slate Value Report 12-09-2019

What's up dudes? Its your excellent friend "The Brand" here. Hope everyone had a great Sunday! Back at it today with the Monday NBA Slate for 12-09-2019. In this piece I will take a look back at the Sunday 6 game NBA slate with a mind towards the future about player-team value correlation. So let's go ahead and tip off!

Raptors @ Sixers
O.G. Anunoby and Kyle Lowry combined for 92 DraftKings points for a combined salary of just 11.6 K. Making them a super profitable combo. If you paired them with either Serge Ibaka or Rondae Hollis Jefferson you may have also done quite well, as Ibaka hit 5x and RHJ hit a nice 7x value for his cheap price of 3.5K. On the Sixers side of things there was not much to write home about as the only player to crush value was Matisse Thybulle who went for over 8x and 36 DraftKings points. Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris ended up in the 5x territory but weren't scores that were important to the slate.

Kings @ Mavericks
Interesting story here for the middling Kings going into Dallas and picking up the win. Dallas' star players Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis both had very bad games. It was up to the 3 and 4 options on the team, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dorian Finney Smith to keep the team in the game. For The Kings Nemanja Bjelica smashed for almost 10x value. While Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes were fine plays that hit right around 5x.

Clippers @ Wizards
Wizards hung tough here but The Clippers were too much. Kawhi Leonard balled out for 58.2 DraftKings points which was a nice 8x or so return. Paul George also crushed for 52.5, so you see that it can happen, in a high total semi competitive game they can both crush value. Williams and Harrell wouldn't have killed you to roster as they both hit around 5x. Moe Harkless had a rare spiked performance with 27 DK points hitting near 10x. The Clippers seem to always have that one guy on the team who will randomly do that, see Zubac and Patrick Beverley. Rough night for The Wizards they hung in there but were always a step behind L.A. Bradley Beal had a rare off night and undervalued. Troy Brown of all people led the team with 39 DraftKings points and Davis Bertans was right behind him with 36.

Bulls @ Heat
We got overtime in this game so some things will be inflated due to that. Be that as it may, Bam Adbayo led the team with a nice 6x performance of 52 DraftKings points. Bam was in a smash spot here on paper and didn't disappoint. Jimmy Butler also got there with a 5x. Tyler Herro benefitted once again from the absence of Justise Winslow, extra shots have been coming his way and he hit a 7x performance of 42 DK points. The Bulls continue to be a team that sees so much spread production as their leading fantasy scorer in this one was Lauri Markannen who put up a 6x good for 37 DraftKings points. Kris Dunn also hit a 6x. Other than that The Bulls were stretched on value and Zach Levine ended up disappointing his owners again with 31 DraftKings points going for a negative value.

Thunder @ Blazers
Another tough one for The Blazers who just can't seem to catch a break. Going forward it will be interesting to see how concentrated their production continues to be. Tonight was a perfect example the team's starting five led the team in fantasy production led by Whiteside, Lillard, McCollum, Carmelo then Bazemore. Someone from the bench will need to step up but there is a deep question of who? Anfrernee Simons was next on the team in minutes but was outproduced by Nassir Little who played ten less minutes than he did. As it stands right now I think The Blazers would love to get Simons on the court as he is probably the best overall player on the bench, but does not have the size generally that;s needed to move down and play the 3, which is where Hood was playing the most before his injury. For The Thunder Nerlens Noel smashed for 35 DraftKings points in just 20 minutes off the bench. Hitting a 10x value.

TimberWolves @ Lakers
Lebron and Anthony Davis destroyed these guys for 138 combined DraftKings points. Set up was perfect for them to get there as this was a high total game where they were a clear favorite. Minnesota kept it just close enough that we got a full night of work out of the two stars. Alex Caruso and Danny Green also were very usable going for nearly 10x a piece. With their low prices a four man stack with these guys tonight would have been the absolute nut way to go. In a rare event Karl Anthony Towns didn't get there and underachieved on value. Andrew Wiggins also underperformed leaving the best two plays on the squad as Shabazz Napier and Josh Okogie. Napier hit 8x with his 26 DK point performance and Okogie was not bad either with 25.5 DK points which was good enough for a 6x performance.

Clippers, Bulls, Kings, Raptors,Thunder and TWolves will all be on the second game of a back to back for Monday 12-09-2019, so paying attention to news today will be critical.
