DraftKings NBA 11-11-2019 First Look

DraftKings NBA 11-11-2019 First Look

Six game slate on DraftKings for NBA on 11-11-2019. Here I will take a first look and try to highlight a few plays that at first glance seem the way to go for the day. Of course as always we want to keep an eye on news as it can always develop out of nowhere it seems in NBA.

Overall I am avoiding Detroit, Toronto and Minnesota in certain spots due to being involved in back to backs. Not every player is affected by this so its nice to double check the small sample size that we already have. So let's go ahead and get right into it.

Bryn Forbes vs Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies allow the second most raw scoring points to the SG position. This game also has a rising total which is always a great place to attack. Forbes would be more of a GPP option on the slate because we cannot guarantee minutes. His last two games were a season low in minutes 21 and 23, so that is a little concerning. At just $4400 on DraftKings today Forbes is a solid GPP option that can save some salary.

Dejounte Murray vs Memphis Grizzlies

Speaking of The Grizzlies being bad at defending SG, they are just as terrible at defending the PG position and this should be a great time for Dejounte Murray to shine. The same logic also applies here with the rising total and being the heavy favorite. I feel ok about Murray in cash as well as GPP. Backcourt minutes are a precious commodity for these Spurs as they have a lot of talent that they like to run. This will be The Spurs easiest game since the season opener against The Knicks, in that game Murray put up 41 DraftKings points. Overall feel good about Murray being in your builds today, I am fine with using him in both GPP as well as cash.

Daniel Theis vs Dallas Mavericks

Theis has slid into the starting Center role very nicely for The Celtics. The minutes have been okay and the numbers have not been great but he has faced some pretty tough match-ups so far this season. Against The Mavericks he gets the softest matchup that he has had all year. We can count on over 20 minutes from him as well. That all being said overall I don't like rostering Celtics due to the slower pace of the team and strict defensice mentality. A lot of their games totals will be on the lower end and this one does not look much different. Theis is more than likely the only one off I will be playing from Boston. Theis will shape up as more of a GPP option for me on this slate, as I'm finding a hard time getting him into my cash builds.

Derrick Favors vs Houston Rockets

I won't pretend to know that I can predict what New Orleans is doing with their rotations. Down low it has been an experiment it seems. Okafor just rested on the second game of a B2B, they also guys they like to give a little run like Jaxson Hayes. I like Favors because he will have the better matchup, assuming that he is in the starting five at Power Forward. If that is the case, he will be able to work P.J. Tucker as the team looks to avoid the likes of Capela, Westbrook and Harden. The funnel favors to Favors. Favors will also draw minutes possibly against whoever spells in Clint Capela at the five. Leaning more as a tournament play for me due to the minutes, due to it being a smaller slate, I am not opposed to rolling with Favors in cash as well.

Rudy Gobert vs The Warriors

This is a spot that is hard to nail down from a DVP standpoint. Arguably The Warriors are terrible against Centers, Draymond Green returning would be a concern against some teams but Gobert should have no problem winning that match-up if The Warriors decide to have Draymond bounce to the five spot. Gobert plays over 30 minutes a game always so there is that safety net as well. Even though The Warriors haven't played quite as fast this year, there should still be plenty of scoring in this one. All in all this version of The Warriors will be the best version of itself this season with Draymond and Russell both healthy along with Eric Paschall who stepped up in their absence. I plan on using Gobert prolificly in Cash and GPP today.
