NFL Week 6 Fantasy Football Picks-Fantasy Heat Advisory
If you gave followed this blog or podcasts at all, you would know that we were on to such plays like Will Fuller in Week 5 WEEKS BEFORE IT HAPPENED! Because in Fantasy Football, somethings are just in a matter of time. We can clearly see just by looking at a players opportunity on a week to week basis, who has the potential to be that next guy that breaks scoring? That is what I will attempt to delve into here, as a sort of 'Heat Advisory" If you will, of players that will have their time on the sun at some point or another, marring injury. Here is my Fantasy Football Head Advisory for NFL Week 6.
Curtis Samuel/DJ Moore
The fantasy world is all abuzz about Christian McCaffrey and deservedly so given his performances recently. However, we cannot forget that going forward more targets, yards and most importantly touchdowns should all start flowing/regressing towards these top two wideouts. I'm not saying that Christian McCaffrey will not continue to smash and dominate, given his usage he will continue to have consistent strong performances and realistically hit his ceiling possibly a few more times this season. With all that being said, still Samuel and Moore are just due to each at least have one multiple touchdown game this season.
Tyler Boyd
I know what you are probably thinking, Tyler Boyd has has great games in weeks 2 and 5. Yes, yes he did, both over 100 yard performances and in week five finally recorded his first touchdown. The Bengals pass at the third highest clip in the league, because of reasons. Therefore with Tyler Boyd seeing a consistent over 90% snap rate through five weeks, I believe that we still have not seen a Tyler Boyd ceiling game this season. Week 5 is close, however a 40 plus PPR fantasy day is still within the range of outcomes.
Julian Edelman
This is another situation similar to Boyd, While Edelman also recorded his first 100 yard game of the year and his second total touchdown. Edelman simply sees the most volume of any Patriots receiver consistently through these first five weeks. The usage and volume once again, we have not seen his true ceiling at this point, a multiple touchdown game is still within realistic range of outcomes for Edelman, health provided this season.
