Wendell Carter to take a big step as the starter for this squad with the departure of Robin Lopez. Outside of Carter reserve minutes are there for the taking for Christian Felicio and Luke Kornet who comes over from New York, rookie Daniel Gafford also seems to be in the mix for that role as well.

Power Forward is locked up by Lauri Markannen, there is some very talented depth behind him capable of playing the 4 spot Thaddeus Young as well as Otto Porter given they are both healthy at that same time. Porter figures to start at the 3 most nights, Chandler Hutchinson will also be in this mix as well.

Thomas Satoransky will be a big addition as a guy who can play multiple spots on the floor. Guard duties will be captained by Zach LeVine and we also see heavy minutes for Kris Dunn as well as Denzel Valentine.

Most of the teams offensive production returns in the form of Markannen and LeVine. Leading rebounders Markannen and Carter are still on the squad. All the assists are still there in the form of Dunn, LaVine and Ryan Arciadacono. Shaquille Harrison led the team last year in steals, yet seems buried in the depth chart.

Robin Lopez takes with him his team leading 78 blocks that will need to be replaced by Carter, Markannen and even Harrison should he be able to see the floor.

All in all this seems like a team will have to have a lot of new pieces fit in to the production that was established and should continue.
