Charlotte Hornets 2019 NBA Team Preview Fantasy Basketball Fantasy Sports

The Hornets are shaping up to be a disaster for 2019. They lost Kemba Walker and replaced him with Terry Rozier, that kind of says all there needs to be said about the state of basketball in Charlotte.
Their top draft pick P.J. Washington is more or less a long term project who will probably spend some good time playing G-League ball. With the departure of Walker as well as Jeremy Lamb there are plenty of minutes now left on the table, however Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lamb took 2700 shots combined on the team last year, so its unclear who will be doing the scoring for this squad this year. Aging Marvin Williams is still on the team and he was third last year, hard to see him being their leading scorer.

Malik Monk and Miles Bridges were next up on the team as far as shot production. Solid defensive front court for Charlotte as their two leading blockers are returning in Marvin Williams and Miles Bridges. In fact the rest of their top five blockers are also returning as well in Batum, Zeller and Biyombo. Without Frank Kamisky these two should see the majority of floor time with Hernangomez being the deeper relief option.

It appears Dewayne Bacon will get significant run at the 2 and 3 spots. Cody Martin also appearing deep on the depth chart at three different positions, so he may be one of the younger guys that Charlotte gives some run to this season. Which is definitely all about the development of what is already there as well preparing for the future.
